Enjoy the unique banjo world of Montz Matsumoto supported by a veteran bass player Louis Gill.

Montz was born in a small village in Japan and started to learn Bluegrass banjo from the age of 15.

Touring regularly with Sydney based “Hillbilly Pop” band ‘The Pigs’ performing at many festivals including Tamworth Country Music Festival, the Port Fairy Folk Festival, the Gympie Muster and the Blue Mountains Music Festival. Touring regularly with Pete Denahy. Leading Tasmania based Alternative Bluegrass Band  “Voicestrings”, performing at MONA museum, Cygnet Folk Festival. Recording artist for various musicians including John Williamson and The Borderers.
