Jazz by Candlelight with Brian Ritchie Trio - Saturday Session

Saturday Session. 30th July. 7pm - 9pm

This is the first return of the Jazz nights at Providence after being shut down due to a noise complaint four months ago and a long, tedious process of fighting for the chance to host music at night. A big THANK YOU to all that signed our petition and provided support letters! We couldn’t have done this without you! Please join us and celebrate the return of the Jazz nights at Providence!

Brian Ritchie, the curator of MONA FOMA, music curator of MONA and the Bassist of Violent Femmes will be back with his Trio this weekend at Providence!

The Trio on Saturday 30th consists of Brian Ritchie on shakuhachi (Japanese Bamboo Flute), Tim Jones (from TSO) on tuba and Danny Healy on woodwinds. They play jazz, Japanese traditional music and their originals in a free and improvised manner. The concert will be all acoustic!

You can choose from one of the two packages we're offering for this experience:

Dinner, Drink & Show Experience - $90

This package includes a donation to artists, a drink of your choosing upon arrival and a delicious 4-course meal by our guest chef of the night, featuring seasonal produce. All dietary requirements can be met upon request.

Drink & Show experience - $30

This package includes a donation to artists and a drink of your choosing upon arrival.

Additional Information:

• The door, kitchen, and bar open at 6:30 pm for a 7 pm showtime
• The show starts at 7 pm and finishes at 9 pm
• Small plates, desserts and other bar favourites can be purchased before 9 pm
• #LiveatProvidence is a series of live music events in an intimate setting with only 25 seats per show
• It’s recommended to reserve your seats before the show on our website.
