Jazz by Candlelight with Simon Patterson Trio

Playing with Simon at Providence Cafe will be drummer Jack Laster & bassist Paul Calverly. Jack & Paul are both well established in Tasmania having worked with, amongst many others, ADF Army Band, Billy Witton, Billy Warner and The Black swans of Trespass.

A Sydney Conservatorium graduate studying with Don Burrows, George Golla, Mike Nock, Simon has extensive credits in Television, Recordings, Clinics, Touring, Teaching, Festivals and Musicals and was based in Melbourne for 26 years.

From backing artists such as B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt, Joe Cocker, Tommy Emmanuel, Martin Taylor, Billy Thorpe, Dave Hole, Jimi Barnes, Keith Urban, Keb Mo, Roger Daltrey, Randy Crawford, Renee Geyer, Tina Arena and Tom Jones over 9 years in the ‘Hey Hey It’s Saturday’ House Band to supporting guitarists Robben Ford, Michael Landau & Mike Stern. Also backing artists such as KD Lang on ’The Logies’, Delta Goodrem and Guy Sebastian on ’Carols by Candlelight’ to other TV credits ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘Australia’s Got Talent’.
